I believe that everyone is competitive in life at one time or another. Competing is fun and I enjoy it a lot.
When my baseball hero, Derek Jeter was young, his mother world always tell him that no matter what he was feeling, that he should out play the other guy at the same position each and every day of his career.
I felt the same way when I was younger and I went into each game thinking about that. How was I going to out play the other guy today? Because I was focused on it, I always made it happen.
In competition, when you are playing against the best, you have to be the best to beat the best. When you step on the field or in the court (or wherever you play), you have to truly believe that you are the best in the battle. If you don’t fully believe in your will to compete and go to battle, then you are going to be completely lost and not play as well as you could if you knew that you are the best. Always maintain this state of competitiveness, no matter who you are up against.
